Shariba Rivers is a Chicago-based actor with on-camera, stage, and voice over experience; she is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA.
A Louisiana native, she moved to Chicago to continue her education career. Little did she know she would be bitten by the acting bug; she has fallen completely under its spell feeling more comfortable on stage than almost any place else. She has worked throughout Chicago; she has also traveled to Fayetteville, AR; Portland, OR; Rochester, NY; and Indiana for productions. TV appearances include Chicago Fire, Empire, The Chi, Chicago Med, Chicago PD and a few commercials; audio credits include voicing the character Lillian Harper in the popular audiodrama, Unwell: A Midwestern Gothic Mystery, for which she won an AudioVerse award in 2019 and for which the series just recently won a BBC award.
Every now and then, she dabbles in writing, some of which has been featured in UNboxed Theatre's Quarantine Diaries series and in Write Club Nation's Chicago Chapter competitions.
Words are not enough to encompass the depths of her gratitude to be loved and lifted up by her family, blood and chosen. She has a profound respect for her Chicago acting family, which has some of the most dedicated and hardworking artists in the industry.
